The interplanetary internet now has its first permanent node in space, aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The new software will make sending data from space less like using the telephone, and more like using the web. In the modern era of the web and information on demand, teams still have to schedule times to send and receive data from space missions.

Very innovative thinking outside the "box." Right away the comic side of my brain started thinking about the rings of Saturn and how the Internet could get hung up on those rings -- going nowhere but gaining speed like a supercollider! Then when you started the eBay discussion, you didn't approach how the seller would get paid. Maybe the barter system would take on a whole new life until the Galaxy can trust our banking system again.

I take the view that in a world ruled by laws, things must arrive before they begin, or they would not know where to go, or there would be no saying where they would go, or if they would go.
